Intl_Baba Day is Here…Summer Will Soon Be Gone.
Business first…the latest column entry is on Prince, and I had a piece run last week on Allen Iverson for ESPN. Being the Prince junkie I am, I couldn’t go more than one entry without putting him in the column. The over/under was probably zero, though.
But really, was summer ever really here? I’ve finally reached the point where summer is just like the rest of the months…just hotter. No rest for the weary or the wicked. That’s double bad for me.
This week…teaching, radio, MJ, and this week’s playlist.

August 19, For Jon…
Really, I swear that this isn’t gonna turn into my LiveJournal. It won’t. But, if you’re willing to see what I’m listening to during a week, I hope you’d be interested in knowing why this day, out of every year, might be the most important. It’s On Like a Pot of Neckbones
Business…the column starts today. Click here, go, and enjoy.
Exams start tomorrow. I feel good. That’s all for now on that.
And now, on the column, Rick James, and some nagging sentimentality…and profanity will be at an absolute minimum, Barbara. That minimum is not likely to be zero, though.

Eight Days to Sunrise…or Sunset?
Business first…pieces this week on ESPN and the BSN. Sports fans, enjoy. Non-sports fans…click if you love me. Actually, just click if you tolerate me.
Eight days until exams, and I’m at home writing this, getting past an overhang. Who knows how to say “burnout” in Espanol? But, not trucking through it means teaching high school, and that won’t be cool in any language.
What the hell…let’s just have some fun this go ’round.
