yes!!! TI...wonderful... too many rappers are turning commercial...if they have their face on TV it's diluted. TI knows how to speak on the life he lived... but nowadays to be in the rap game you still have to come out with the bangers and ballads...but the majority of his music reminds me of Wayne n Tupac jus in his own sense... and TI was doin it on the underground, too...so its good to see he hasn't changed up...too much

Because I no longer listen to the radio or watch music videos, I had no idea who TI was until last summer. Someone hipped me to his stuff. He's definitely smart and skilled, I'm just not that into his music.

As far as popularity though, TI seems to be the one. Face is definitely numero uno all time, but it's hard for him to hold the current crown when he hasn't been releasing solo albums consistently. Kast as a duo are right there with him. And my personal favorite is Devin.

And nice nod to the Ghost album. I think that Ghost is currently the king of all the land, given that Pharoahe Monch, Breeze Brewin, and Jay Z don't have music out now.

Problem is Ghost is a king with no fiefdom. Love this record, but about five people will buy it. And anyone that doesn't know about and/or love Devin is really missing out.

Again with the Scarface. I don't pretend to know much about southern rap (per se), but I do know rap. That being said, the greatest I've ever heard from the region is benjamin 3000, period. Even when he's singin and talking about aliens and shit.

The best and the king are two different things. Plus, he's never done a solo rap album.

When I get interviewed for TV, magazines, newspapers, or give public speeches in front of crowds, I talk not like my "real" self. I use accepted cliches and flip up my vocabulary. Is it a black thang, or a human nature thang? Not saying it's right. Not saying it's wrong. I have to for biznis sake.

Bo, is that comment revealing latent feelings you still have on Terence Howard?

Hold up, hold up... I like T.I.P. as well... but he has a long time to go before you tell Scarface to move over.

Scarface legacy is too deep just to be brushed aside... T.I. could take over, but he needs time to let his stuff set in.

Clarification--Tip is the king right now. Scarface still has a different all-time mantle.
