Happy bday man. And I would have been one of those "deep" folks who completely missed the Gucci Mane reference. LOL.

Oh, we did leave a 20% tip anyways. It was the least we could do.

Hau'oli La Hanau Bo!

Here's the great thing about being your age Bo, you got a LOT of other "nicest dinners you've ever had," comin' in front of you in the future! Nothing like a great dinner.

Back in February for her birthday, my g.f. and I went to Morton's Steak House. We did it up. Appetizers, Caesar salads, $150 wine, two surf 'n' turf specials (the highest priced menu item), great desserts, after-dinner drinks and coffee...

Before the entrees were served, we noticed a few tables around us were already into their main course, and it dawned on us that we had been waiting longer than normal for our entrees. When our entrees did come, the waiter explained that the chef didn't like the look of the lobster, so he redid it (obviously a bogus reason for accidentally serving our entrees to someone else). Then at the end of dinner the maitre d' apologized for the large party that were taking up their waitstaff's time causing the delay in our entrees earlier. I guess they didn't get the story straight between them. Anyway, we were not that concerned about it at the time and we thought they were making a bigger deal of it than was warranted, because it wasn't THAT long of a delay.

Well guess what? When we asked for our check, they said, "Your dinner is complementary. You did not receive the 'Norton's' experience, and we apologize and would like to comp your dinner." Now, in situations where someone's generosity is over and beyond what is called for, I always concede to meet half-way (in this case I said we should at least pay for the wine, appetizers, etc.) They wouldn't hear of it. So, that was a nice birthday gift for her, a $400 comped dinner.

Morton's Steakhouse has a loyal customer for life. By the way, for those of you who love steak, search out a Morton's near you. BEST steak I've ever had, and this is coming from a mid-western boy!
