Happy Times!

Business…here’s my take on whether Michael Vick will ever be a Super Bowl quarterback. I’m in a rush, so I can’t link, but I think you know how to get there.
Now, there are a couple of things at the Palatial Bomaniland Estate that make me very happy.
First, here’s a sign of how grown I’ve become. I decorated it myself. Click to enlarge.

Can’t have a house and no tree, man. Even if the tree is directly in front of a large portrait of a Muslim. But if The Maker’s gonna find reasons to keep me out, this won’t be where He/She starts.
Now, here’s a surprise from me ladyfriend, one that brought me greater joy that I’ll be able to properly convey with words. Could some of the Texans in this piece please explain how they’d feel if they saw this after being deprived of it for far too long. Again, click to enlarge.

If you don’t know about the Blue Bell, I feel bad for you. I really do. The first taste of that sweet Butter Pecan was a rush of flavor that almost made me wanna weep. Good gracious, the Blue Bell is the greatest.

  1. I heard some asshole in the grocery store the other day complain about not being able to find Blue Bell, then arguing with his woman over which flavor of generic, store-brand crap to buy instead. Good times.

  2. Alma F. Washington

I’m not a Texan, but I love me some Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla. By the way, I only saw one gift under the tree. Is it going in the mail in time to make it to Campbell Road?

  3. Ah, yes a tree is a sure sign of adulthood. I am putting one up for the first time in my newly acquired home, Sheba. Get it Queen of Sheba…because I am the Queen up in that joint!!! Corney, yes I know. But dang it, it’s my first home and I can do what I want.
I also got hoodwinked into hosting a Christmas Eve cocktail party. I understand you will be in NY for Christmas, but since this looks like it will be an annual event, I will see you there next year. Consider this your e-vite.

  4. man as a native texan i can tell you all you want to know about bluebell..
but Vick, C’mon man, he was only a god defensive effort away from going to the big game just 3 yrs ago. Granted, it would be alot easier for him if he even knew the term progression. I liken Vick to Mike Tyson, so much raw talent , but no fundamentals…

  5. Sorry Bo about my haitus…a lot of shit has happened since we last talked.. I mean… A LOOOOOOOOOOOOT of shit…but I digress…
Man how y’all get that Blue Bell in NC? Man that Blue Bell Cookies and Cream definitely goes hard…and also that Pineapples and Homemade Vanilla (if you let it melt..it tastes just like a Sonic shake).
Some of these folk don’t know what they’re missing. Blue Bell…it’s better by a country smile, beeeeyaaatch!!!!!
P.S.: I’ll update on “where the hell has the WMD been?” on the blog before Crimmuh!!!!!

  6. When I was back in OK, I had me a Braum’s chocolate milkshake. Forgot how good their ice cream was. If you’re ever in Hawaii, you gotta try Bubbie’s Ice Cream (go to the one near the University or in Hawaii Kai).
