Oh buddy, this could get interesting.
Gotta head back to Atlanta for a funeral. Tomorrow will come some smack talk about the Rose Bowl.
You know, the game the Longhorns are playing in. Shouts out to all the fans of Missouri, Michigan and, of course, those Oklahoma Sooners.
With no malice or humor, I commend OU for a strong showing in the Holiday Bowl.
With all the humor in the world, I ask Sooner fans to start scouting rooms in Dallas for the Cotton Bowl next year. San Diego’s sunny, but they don’t like to invite teams in consecutive years. And OU ain’t winnin’ nobody’s Big 12 next year.
Unless Vincent leaves. Man, can we talk about something else.

My only joy in Texas in the Rose Bowl is the joy from having my son happy. Next year is another matter. The Sooners will be back.
I love you, too.

I just had a vision of Tom DeLay doing a press conference in a “stop snitching” tee.
I need a nap lol.

Bo, you better hope Vince comes back, otherwise it’ll be biz as usual in the RRR.
I don’t see OU making a title run next year, but if A.D., by the grace of God, comes back for year #4, and with Bomar as a junior (just watch, he’ll be a big time QB if he can settle down), I see a championship season for 2007.
Anyway, beat them Trojans tomorrow! Puh-leeeeze!

‘Preciate the Wolverines shoutout.
You can keep the sarcasm, though. I told you, I’m already “rooting for”(read: not actively pulling against) the ‘Horns.
Don’t make me violate family principle and “root” for the Trojans…I mean, let’s be real. Texas can use all the help they can get against this year’s Heisman winner.

I guess I’m truly a man of few words!!! LOL!!!
What I meant to say was in reference to this: “I just had a vision of Tom DeLay doing a press conference in a “stop snitching” tee.”
The previous statement may be the funniest thing I’ve read this year. Kudos to jaedalaurez!!!

watching the Rose Bowl…19 seconds left.
You must be loving this right now.

A ‘Husker fan and myself (I bleed Sooner Red) were iChatting for the whole game and were rooting for Texas harder than either of us would have thought possible.
Good for Texas, good for the Big XII.
Enjoy this one Bo! UT deserved it…

And how about some sour grapes from Leinart?
“I still feel we’re the better team.”
“We lost the game, they didn’t win it.”

Leinart isn’t necessarily wrong. For the most part their defense, especially the tackling, was atrocious. Not that Matt was stellar, but the D was certainly weak.
by Rex
I can understand the “we lost” comment. But it was pretty classless to say “I still feel we’re the better team.” Guess what Matt? You ain’t…

I thought Leinart’s comments were classless. As far as USC’s D is concerned, it’s the same porous stuff that’s been giving up big points all year. The difference is that the lawyers of the Leinart, Bush & White Firm couldn’t bail them out. Vince & Company got it done.
Face it, kid–you got beat.
Hooray, Texas!!!

Leinart irked me with that one…sometimes you have to call it like it is, but that was hateration, pure and simple…they didn’t GIVE anything away, Texas TOOK it.
I guess 2 years of unmitigated adoration got his head all swole, and finding out this year that one, he wasn’t the best Heisman winner on his team and two, he wasn’t the best QB in this game either was a bit of a nasty shock.

That was an absurd comment by a defeated athlete. I swear sports just might be the most simultaneously glorifying and humbling activity ever.
