Dang, just as he was mounting a little comeback and working on his new album in the studio.
If I’m not mistaken, he’s been working on this record for a long time. Not to lose sight of what’s important, but I wonder how fans would dig D’Angelo if he looked like Luther circa ’85.

Yahoo wrote it like he was dead. I said critically injured, and then they had to change it to recovering. Your little comment about his current appear is probably right–I don’t want to see any nekid videos of him right now. LOL!
The big thing is that he’d been in the ‘spital for about a week. He checked in under an assumed name. As someone has pointed out to me, that we just now found out means he might have been close to the end at a couple of points and the hospital didn’t want to prematurely put the word out. That sounds plausible, and the person who told me this has probably dated a doctor or two. Plus, would you recognize D’Angelo right now? I bet the nurses didn’t even know that was a rouse.

I read the saddest thing about him being INSANELY body conscious because of the “Untitled” video. Ahmir ?uestlove Thompson (The Roots) who toured with him said apparently chicks were screaming “take it off, take it off” at the shows all through his songs to the point where he was trying to change his lineup or even just not sing “Untitled.” He cancelled shows behind feeling not ripped enough. He delayed shows to do more crunches. He was really fucked up about it.
If the accident fucked up his looks D’Angelo is officially a Greek tragedy.
