Business preview…should have another letter to LeBron on the BSN this week. Also, I might not be able to post on Monday and Tuesday because I’ll be making a bidness trip to Connecticut Monday, and I’ve got some headway to make on another major project. Also, there might be a sports piece on Salon this week, depending on when that new Kaufman enters the world.

When with my southern ears I heard T. Howard’s accent in previews, it offended me and made me not wanna see it. Sounded like a mockery. They couldn’t catch up wit 8-Ball and/or MJG to coach this dude? To me, there is a distinct difference in a white person’s southern accent and a black person’s. I don’t think Hollywood has quite grasped that. But your review was compelling. Now, I may actually see it…maybe.

Interesting review. I hope I don’t offend too many people, but I have heard some southerners talk the same way he talks in the movie. I don’t know, maybe its a Memphis thing. But overall, I loved the movie. Like you said, its not a feel-good movie – but it made me feel.
