Check this story out about the mayhem that ensued in Richmond, VA for a super-duper discounted computer sale. There’s some humor, but I put this as another strike against those that think black folks just hate education so much. You really think most of those people were in line for themselves?

yo I was actually there yesterday at 6:15 but gave up and had breakfast at the McDonald’s across the street after estimating at least 1500 people in front of my co-worker and myself. That turned out to be a moot point as to the swift went the spoils and to the slow, the weak, and one woman’s baby stroller went the loss.
I’m not seeing clearly the connection to black folk and education – I figured most people there were there for the deal. A friend of mine did manage to get one and was offered $300 on the spot.
And for the record Dookie V did predict correctly before the 2004-05 season that the Tar Heels would take it… maybe I’m being too forgiving I find I don’t quite mind him so much these days.
