this footage is quite disturbing. there’s also the piece in the article where the passenger allegedly asked the officer, “why did you shoot me if you told me to get up?” inquiring minds want to know.
i thought cops were “supposed” to be upstanding citizens. granted, i never trusted a cop but these feelings tend to be race-based. the beating footage reinforced this distrust. this shooting, however, is completely uncalled for. i can’t imagine anyone even forming the words to offer an explanation of what happened here… needless to say, i’m no longer sure if my distrust of cops is a “black thing” or an innate avoidance of potentially harmful things.

If I recall, the Termintor killed cops instead of getting killed by them.

I always think to myself, imagine if there were no video tape. It’s all bad how he radioed in “Shots fired!” It sounds like the beginnings of a set up that would have put the Iraq vet in jail and old boy back in the cop car to attempt to kill again.

I know its the way the media overhypes stuff, but it feels like the Police break the law(speeding when they aren’t chasing anyone; shooting people erroneously) than the average Joe does.

Uh, I’m a day late, but the video is NO LONGER up for viewing on MSNBC OR on the KTLA-TV website. Mysteriously disappearing video, huh?
In fairness, I can understand taking that video down just because it’s so graphic. I loudly said, “oh my god,” when I saw it, and I may have really been calling God. And as you all know, I’m as religious as a pint of whiskey.
