Check this British report. Paul Krugman may be next. These cats still manage to amaze me, even when I don’t think that’s possible.
EDIT–I’m told this publication is a bit of a tabloid. So, sprinkle grains of salt to taste.

It’s a bit of a tabloid in the way that I’m a bit white.
If it weren’t in an ally nation, it’d damn near be a good idea, though.

A “damn near” good idea to bomb al-Jazeera?
May I please have some of what you’re smokin’?
I mean, really. Is the rest of the world, particularly Muslims, not pissed off at us enough for you?

Yes, it’s almost a good idea. The strategic value of the target (taking out the propaganda machine for the opposition) is high.
As far as Muslims being pissed off at us, that’s a stupid reason to make any decision. You’d have to be a fool to make strategic decisions based on whether or not your opponent would approve.
It’s a war. They’re not supposed to be happy about it. The only reason that it’s a bad idea is because the target itself is one that falls outside of a state boundary. Because of that, it’s not a good move. If Al-Jazeera were solely an Iraqi news organiziation serving the rebels/insurgents/whatever, then bombs away.
