Whoadieland is WaterWorld–REMOVED

After talking to a good friend of mine, I realized this post was in misguided taste, and I’m taking it down. Really, the gravity of the situation trumps my attempts at humor, no matter how insightful they may or may not have been.

And now Mississippi and a couple other places are having problems. Sure as hell puts the average California earthquake in perspective. The only thing we’ve got that even comes close is the occasional huge forest fire. Bad all around.

Pardon me sir, but how exactly does one pronounce ‘whoadie’?
Whoa-dee. The proper spelling would have probably been ‘wardie,’ but that would have added to the confusion.

Bo, couldn’t it easily be Beeeeeybeey land too?
That’s all I ever get called by all the women in NO.
    Want some grits “beeeeeybeeeey”??
    Bruh-town is good, too.

Thanks Bomani, I thought the post was in horrible taste but I just didn’t feel like bothering to say so. There are no words to describe what’s going on around here. Many of us have lost EVERYTHING…homes, businesses, memories and the hardest, family. We don’t even know how bad things are yet. And no I don’t live there but my family, friends, home and father are there.
Didn’t say poor. Misguided. Just wasn’t the time. I’ll be back raggin’ on the whoadies next week.

Misguided taste, absolutely. But I laughed at first too. I had no idea what the storm was going to do. God has been so good to us–it could have been a lot worse, even though it’s hard to imagine how. It’s difficult for people who are not from there to understand. I am from Baton Rouge but my uncle is down there. In New Orleans, probably sitting on his roof, very near to where the levee broke. You are probably asking why he stayed, but that doesn’t matter now. I am thinking about the unending water he is dealing with. The bacteria, parasites, sewage, cemetary debris, snakes and other animals floating in that water. The idea that we may not hear from him for many more days. The idea that we may not hear from him ever again is too much to even think about. The places I’ve been, the streets I can hardly recognize because there is very little to nothing left. The places I do recognize are more difficult because I realize how deep the water really is. This water will be there a while unfortunately, we may have to get used to seeing it. We always knew this could happen, but we always thought it wouldn’t–prayed it wouldn’t. We will never doubt again. The poor people are looting, but they have no homes anymore and no way to hold on to their loot–they will be swimming in new shoes. But, this is definitely not the worst of it. They have not begun to find the wild animals yet. They have not begun to count the bodies. The death toll will be unbelievable, please pray for them. Being in Nashville is worse than being there, at least there I could do something. Now I sit and watch the people and places I love suffer and die with no one but my mother who understands. My heart is amazingly heavy. If there is a bright side, maybe the Saints will have some real and tangible reason to win now. That would be the miracle that would shore up the state’s already tested but surely steadfast faith.

No, you didn’t say it was in poor taste…I did. I doubt floating bodies, reptiles and snakes everywhere, no water to drink and no lights will be funny next week either but rag away.
The news isn’t even telling the half of it.
Anyway, this is your site that you pay for with your money to speak your words, no matter how anyone may feel about them. I’m not trying to censor you, or even ask you to care about how people feel about what you say, I’m just showing another perspective (which is probably hypersensitive right now), and which you are certainly not obligated to take into consideration.
She didn’t say I said it was poor taste.
Either way, the perspective is understood. But, that was posted under different circumstances. Put it like this–I just called my ex-girlfriend to see how her fam was doing, and I haven’t talked to her in three years. So, do I respect where you’re coming from? More than you seem to know.
And God bless the dead, but the live ones in Girbauds and Reebok’s will still get a chuckle from me. Sorry.

One more example that life is random, chaotic, and unsympathetic.
