Bomani is a moron

Lesson learned the hard way–and inadvertently, I must say–Coca-Cola and laptops don’t miss.  So now, I’m at my boy’s house trying to get some work done.
Now maybe I’m too attached to my computer, but here’s the question of the day–doesn’t using someone else’s computer feel like borrowing someone else’s socks?  Out the hamper.

Nah, I’m with you man. When I have to switch desks at work I get an attitude. I can’t STAND using somebody else’s computer … or cell phone.

A while back I spilled apple juice in my keyboard. I took it to the sink to rinse it out. The keyboard worked fine after drying out. But, the stain left in my carpet took years to get out. I naively tried getting it out myself with soap and water. The residual sticky sugars left behind attracted dirt, even though it looked clean initially. Even a professional carpet cleaner couldn’t get it clean. Computers came and went, but that stain went the distance.

That sucks majorly. Facebook and myspace just don’t do it on foreign machines.

Bo, do you have a nightly backup of your account folder? Could you create a new login account on your friend’s computer, then replace the files/folders it creates with yours from the backup? Then it’s almost like having your computer. I do this on the Mac sometime and it works well.
