Today's Moment of Enlightenment

Know what’s tough?  Those moments where you realize who you are, who you think you are and who you would like to be aren’t the same person.
That’s something to ponder.
Getting ready to go to Atlanta.  Let’s hope the homie Ernesto ain’t made driving too treacherous.

  1. Nah, Bo. That “toughness” is consciousness at its best. Consider it a blessing. What’s tough is when muhfuggas don’t know who they are, think they somebody else and have no idea who they want to be.

  2. I think “really” being who you want to be is the impossible dream. But it’s like life in general. It isn’t the destination, but the journey to get there that’s rewarding… Keep trying to get there.

  3. I experience this realization quite often (somehow I keep forgetting and then have to realize it again). My only way of dealing with it is to make a list (usually quite long) of all the things I want to be (e.g. more charitable, more patient, more exercise-y, etc.) and then start tackling that list- until I forget about the list and go back to my old ways. And, thus, the cycle continues.
