CNN Original Series Decades in Sports follows the biggest athletes, unforgettable games, and cultural moments that transformed sports and helped shape American history over the past six decades. The series features interviews with Bomani Jones in the six-part documentary exploring how sports reflected major social, political, and cultural changes from the 1960s through today. Cultural icons like Michael Jordan, Simone Biles and Tiger Woods–legends who reshaped how sports are played, marketed, and perceived. Athletes, coaches, journalists, historians and sports broadcasters such as Bob Costas, Al Michaels, Andrea Kremer will also be interviewed and provide commentary.
Decades in Sports premieres on August 2, 2026, on CNN, with the first two episodes airing beginning at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. New episodes will then be available the following day on streaming on the CNN app and CNN.com/watch.
