Business…here’s a piece on the BSN about former Ohio State running back Maurice Clarett’s circuitous trip through life.
In case you’re curious, I put all those details for the Google AdSense men to stay busy. Inexplicably, I kept seeing ads for Oklahoma gear yesterday. Only my mama and Rex and D-Nunn want that, and the three of them either have all the Sooner gear they need or just ain’t clicking.
And if you wanna, you know, make me happy, humor the links. Yes, I’m so shameless that I’ll ask you to send a dime or so my way by clicking. What might be even better, actaully, is if we figure a way to get more people to come to this bad boy. Anybody got any ideas? I used to get a surge when I’d run on ESPN, but I think all of them that wanna read this already have checked the site and liked or disliked it. Shucks.
Anyway, enjoy. And while you’re at it, consider a new iPod. Or something else the AdSense folks respect.
Doing the funeral thing today, so no update is likely. Look out on Monday for a piece on the ESPN Monday about the prospect of Vincent playing for the Texans.

His agent was talking about trying to get him into NFL Europe when this all went down. I can’t imagine why any team would even bother considering him. Then again, Lawrence Phillips got plenty of chances.
I wonder how long it’ll be before he ends up in the CFL or even the Arena league.

Dude, you have NO IDEA how much Sooner stuff populates my home and office. People out here are like, “Umm, you sure are a Sooner fan, huh?” Anyway, I have a Jason White jersey sitting in my dresser drawer waiting to see the light of day again… One of these days, next season, I’ll break it out. I wanted to get a Peterson jersey, but they didn’t have them yet.
As for Maurice, I hope he can get straight. I mean, no one was killed, no grand larceny occurred. Hopefully the judge in the case is an enlightened one and can help this kid instead of punishing him to harshly.
I feel Mike Williams was the real victim of the whole MC frosh/draft controversy, and the NCAA looked like extremists in their handling of his situation. But, it that any surprise since they can’t get a college playoff together.
One of these days, It would be interesting to hear your views on college playoffs vs. traditional bowl games.
