I’m going with my girlfriend to Bahn’s Cuisine on 9th Street in Durham today. I only mention that because I’ve meant to shout out the spot for a long time.
My affection for Bahn’s is absurd. During the summer, it’s not out of the question for me to eat there 5-7 days a week. I personal recommendation is you go on Saturday and pick up a curry chicken turnover. Trust me–it’s that fie fie delish. Word to the Goodie Mob.
So go. Trust me. You’ll enjoy. Tell ’em I sent ya.

Oh, and do the happy dance for me–we’re going to see Maze and Mint Condition on June 8, and ya boy got them second-row seats! Man, I hope I don’t drink too much. Last thing I need to do is get on stage and do the funky chicken in front of thousands of black people. The Sandman would bust me in the jaw like he’s Jermaine O’Neal.

Ah yes, one of the true comforts of life: a favorite restaurant. If I ever get to Durham, besides crashing on your couch, I’ll have to try it out!
Mine switches from year to year, (does Subway count?), but it’s always some sort of Italian restaurant.
If any of youse guys is evah in Hawaiyah, (poor Italian accent, I know), go to Paesano’s, Assagio’s, Auntie Pasto’s or Mediterraneo’s. Tell ’em Rex sent cha. You’ll find me at two of the ones mentioned at least once a week.
And of course for Asian cuisine, you can’t beat Thai food. Lotsa great Thai places here.

Saturday at Bahn’s…even my 8 year old craves it. Ain’t much for tofu but the veggie and tofu special is amazing. Yep to the curry chicken turnover and the soups and…all of it.
