Went to the barber shop today. I’m sure my bosses will be pleased.
Anyway, I saw the cover of The Final Call. I think it’s the most succinct headline on the current economic situation. While people are using terms like crisis and depression, The Final Call kept it simple.
“AMERICA IS BROKE.”
Well, that’s one way of putting it…

Might as well call a spade a spade!
“AMERICA IS BROKE.”
Thank you and goodnight.
dumbest thing I’ve read since someone said “Michael Vick went to jail for hurtin’ some dawgs.”
That’s funny, Eddie. For all your problems with my use of “ebonics,” it seems you missed that post when I said…
“Michael Vick is going to do 23 months in prison for hurting some dogs.”

If you’re going to try to be condescending, at least you could get it right.
Get em, Bo!
Maybe Eddie is broke as well. Hell, he’s part of America, so… implied.
Am I the only one who thinks the media is MOSTLY responsible for the “economic crisis”? We live in a country FILLED with sheep-mentality citizens! When the 6 o’clock news says the economy is bad then the inevitable result is most of the “sheep” tighten their purse strings! With the exception of putting more money into your gas tank have YOUR spending habits changed? Mine haven’t! I’m not wealthy by ANY means, but I still go out to eat, have some drinks, buy groceries, records, EBAY items, etc.
Maybe (just maybe) the economy would do better if the night time news anchor would come on air and say “Good evening America. Tonight you should go shopping.”
The news people has an election to influence, they don’t have any time for your desired of “facts.”
It’d be nice if Eddie Beerstain could explain his point just once, instead of overcompensating for being the playground patsy in childhood. You KNOW you were that kid who ate paste and talked to girls about bugs Beerstain. Not much has changed…
