Flavor of Love is done. If the Celebreality gods are kind, they’re done for good. There’s no room to break this out again. And, to be honest, I wouldn’t want to see it again. There’s only so many times I can watch a bunch of B-actresses try to get their breaks.
But if this is the end, did they or did they not go out with a BANG?
I ain’t got time to summarize it, but here’s what the lesson for everyone to learn–your mama can kill things in your relationship just by being who she is.
If your mama is crazy, chances are you’ve got some loco in you–yes, you–too. That’s just how it goes. Crazy people tend to raise crazy kids. More importantly, the way your parents interact is very likely to affect the way you interact with your mate. That’s just how it goes.
Of course, Flav was gonna cut New York off because of her crazy mama. Flav’s in his mid-40s. He’s lived long enough to know that crazy people tend to raise crazy kids. I know that, and he’s got me beat by at least 20 years. Anybody with any game knows that you don’t make a serious decision about a (wo)man unless you’ve got a good handle on what kinds of people her parents are and what the dynamics of the parental relationship is.
We all saw that New York’s mama was mad dramatic, and her father seemed resigned just to watch it happen and laugh in the background…but definitely laughing quietly. And Flav, assuming you buy into any notion of realism on this show, wasn’t trying to live like that. Gotta respect that.
So she’s gone and Deelishis won. Good for her. I’m not sure what to make of this, but she seems to really be concerned for Flavor Flav. She must dig him because she let that dude cut her dress with a knife when her zipper wouldn’t work. If a woman’s willing to destroy her threads to give you some lovin’, you got a keeper. Especially when you’re Flavor Flav, good gracious.
My advice–if you’ve got crazy parents, you’ve got to acknowledge that and try to counteract effects of being exposed to that insanity. The crazy mama can limit your pool of potential applicats to other crazy people, and that ain’t no good.

You know NY was trying to couteract her inherent craziness! Did you hear her say, “That was the wrong move,” when describing her rant about planning her and Flave’s lives together?
Even with that, though, I’m not convinced that she was cut solely becuase of her crazy mama becuase really, she was already crazy as s* (and hella dramatic). Flave knew that but he wasn’t concerned because he had a house full of women and he wasn’t getting ANY – until he invited Ny back, that is. She was feeling him and putting out consistently (I counted 3 times this season alone…).
NY went home this time just like she did last time because Flave simply didn’t want her crazy a* even though she was “down for him”. Crazy mama or not, she was putting out. Apparantly, that didn’t make her a better choice than anyone else although it did serve as incentive to keep her around for a while…
Man, I was so excited when I found a sports writer that lived in the Triangle. Then I read your bio and found out you graduated from UNC. Guess, I can look forward to a season of Duke Haten`. *sighs*
B-Actresses? That is giving them way too much credit. Let’s try D Actresses.
Crazy ain’t so bad. Jeezy like to ‘Go Crazy,’ Beyonce’s ‘Crazy in Love’ and at some point, all of us want to be a little ‘Crazy Sexy Cool.’
this is probably the last season for flavor. i can’t see them doing a third one. i do see them bringing back new york’s crazy self for a bachelorette type show.

I, however, have a better idea:
New York + Omarosa’s ex-husband/whipping boy + My Fair Brady-type show = Top 10
He gets to relive the good old days when he was leashed to a crazy bitch with a penis, and she gets a whimpering man-child that obeys just as faithfully as her daddy. That would beat the hell out of either season of FoL.
Aquababie-word is that NY is coming back for her own reality dating show. Let the madness begin…
I had Deelishis pegged to win from day one. She was the only sane person in the house. New York sealed her own fate by trying to assert her authority over the other women by playing mind games. That shit never ends up good.
No one should be surprised that NY lost. There was already a spin off in the works, in which a contestant will have a house full of guys trying to gain her “love”. I’m so glad that this buffoonery is over.
her new show is called “flavorette” or some mess like that.
